Walk Through a Lighted Path at the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens

We’re all looking for ways to celebrate the holidays outdoors this year, so it’s the perfect time for the Winter Walk of Lights! This walk-through light display has illuminated holiday spirits for 9 years at the Meadowlark Botanical Garden in Vienna. Visit the Winter Walk of Lights any evening until January 3. Buy timed tickets online ahead of time since walk-up tickets are limited. You’ll walk through the gardens at night, passing holiday scenes on either side of the path. Begin this self-guided excursion by walking down the glowing one-way path to see magical decor.

Need a break from the cold? Pick up a souvenir at the gift shop, or pop into the snack shop for a hot chocolate, coffee, or hot cider. Take your warm drink to-go as you head back outside to finish your journey. Any night between December 12-31, you can sample goodies from Park Street Eats food trucks, ready to serve your favorite fair food like funnel cakes, hotdogs, and fries.

You can even give back to your community at the Winter Walk of Lights by participating in one of their appreciation or fundraising events. Bring a first responder, teacher, or military member with you and they’ll receive free admission with one paying guest on their dedicated appreciation nights between December 29-January 1.
