With fun and safe holiday events in short supply this year, there is one yearly favorite that you can still enjoy amidst the pandemic. Holiday Candlelight Tours of Annapolis are a wonderful way to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the season in downtown Annapolis. Each Friday and Saturday evening in December, an expert tour operator (dressed in traditional colonial attire) will guide guests on a candlelit tour of the city streets. You’ll see Maryland’s historic State Capital, colonial mansions, Victorian homes, and the shops of Annapolis all decked out in their seasonal decor. The tour guide will tell you tales of holidays past, and give you a mini history lesson of the town.
With your gift list getting longer, and the stress of the year piling on, the Holiday Candlelight Tours is a lovely opportunity to relax and recapture a bit of the true spirit of the season. Tours depart at 7 p.m., and reserved ticketing is required. Make a night of it with dinner in downtown Annapolis before the walk, or a night cap after the tour.
