Enjoy a Taste of NOLA at Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery

Crawdads, gumbo, and po’boys get most of the media buzz, but New Orleans locals can tell you that bakeries are just as much a part of the region’s culinary tradition as anything else. That’s just one reason why Bayou Bakery has made such a splash in the Arlington casual dining scene. New Orleans-born celebrity chef David Guas oversees the menu, which runs from grab-and-go beverages and pastries to happy hour bites and sips. 

At breakfast, coffee and beignets are the standard order, but you’ll also find plenty of unique breakfast dishes featuring southern biscuits and barbecue. The lunch menu offers a rotating selection of sandwiches (try the muffa-lotta or the bayou BLT), soups, and salads, with an expanded selection on the weekend. The bakery also offers classic New Orleans sweet treats like salted caramel popcorn, spiced pecans, chicory pralines, and chewy chocolate crack cookies. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
