A trip to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History is so much more than a stroll through the same old dinosaur exhibits. This DC institution has so many new and exciting exhibits that it’s hard to see them all in one trip.
Their latest opening is Outbreak: Epidemics in a Connected World, and invites visitors to join the fight to identify and contain infectious disease outbreaks. There are also temporary exhibits on the illusive narwhal, the last American dinosaurs, and more. You’ll also find all of the tried-and-true exhibits that you may have loved as a kid.
Just as with all other Smithsonian museums, entrance is free. The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Use their handy plan your visit page on their website to make the most of your trip.
