When you want fresh and healthy food quickly, The Simple Greek can oblige. It opened a few months ago with a new type of Mediterranean fast food that allows customers to build their own meal. Just step up to the counter and pick your fresh ingredients from the fully stocked assembly line.
Start by choosing white or wheat pita bread or a bowl of rice, lentils, or green salad. Then select your protein from a list that includes classic or chicken gyro, grilled steak or chicken, or lentils. Next, layer on some tzatziki, hummus, or another Greek sauce. Then load on as many toppings and finishes as you like, such as cucumbers and tomatoes, red onions and feta, or olive oil and sea salt. Feel free to add some sides, too, like lentil soup or dolmades.
