Raise a Pint to Summertime at the Continental Beer Garden
Last summer, the Continental Modern Pool Lounge debuted an outdoor space at North Moore and 19th Streets where beer enthusiasts could grab a pint in the sunshine. It was met with such acclaim that the Continental Beer Garden has returned for a second year. It's open Tuesday through Saturday in the same sun-drenched space with plenty of picnic tables and bar seating to host a crowd.
Head to the Continental Beer Garden to sip on suds from one of the oldest breweries in Germany, the Weihenstephaner Brewery. The beer garden features other German drafts, as well as a selection of local Virginia craft beers on tap and in cans. House-made sangria, boozy slushes, punch cocktails, and glasses of wine are available, too. If you want to grab a bite with your drink, sink your teeth into a bratwurst stuffed inside of a pretzel roll with sauerkraut and mustard or try a lighter skewer of marinated shrimp over basil-quinoa salad.
