Load Up on Local Food Year-Round at Arlington Farmers’ Market

Their crops may change throughout the year, but the farmers living around Arlington never stop growing. So no matter the season, the Arlington Farmers' Market at 14th Street and Courthouse Road always plays host to a roundup of local farmers, food vendors, and other purveyors. Swing by this Saturday between 8 a.m. and noon to see who is on the docket this week.

You might score some root veggies from the Potomac Vegetable Farms, which raises its produce using organic and mostly sustainable practices. Grab grass-fed meats and farm-fresh eggs from Smith Meadows. Stock up on organic mushrooms from Mother Earth, pick up a loaf of fresh bread from Girardot's Crumbs, or snag artisan olive oil from Dimitri Olive Oil. You may also be able to sip on fresh-pressed juices, courtesy of Senzu Juicery, and nibble warm doughnuts, thanks to Mac's Donuts, depending on which vendors are on hand.
