Memorial Weekend in DC & Arlington

Honor the fallen men and women who have served our country this Memorial Weekend, close to Union on Queen in Arlington, VA and Washington D.C.

The national remembrance of service men and women who lost their lives started in Arlington, VA at the National Cemetery. So, it is only appropriate to continue this celebration for their service in the same area.

We suggest starting your weekend in the Nation’s capital for the Rolling Thunder First Amendment Demonstration Run and the National Memorial Day Concert on Sunday, May 28, 2017.

If you want to get a little exercise for a good cause the same day, check out the Bug Run for the American Cancer Society in Georgetown.

Then, on Memorial Day itself, pay a visit to the Arlington National Cemetery  for the Wreath Laying Ceremony on Monday, May 29, 2017. The cemetery is the perfect place to pay your respects.

Finally, end Memorial Weekend with the National Memorial Day Parade on the same day for a little family fun.

Of course, we also suggest that you make plans to grill on Union on Queen’s rooftop throughout the weekend.

However you choose to spend your time on Memorial Weekend, Arlington, VA and Washington, D.C. are great places to honor the real reason for the occasion.
