The Mount Vernon Trail, Close to Union on Queen

Arlington, VA’s Mount Vernon Trail is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Union on Queen.

The Mount Vernon Trail is perfect for bikers, runners, joggers, walkers, animal-owners, and scenery fanatics. Basically, if you like the outdoors and beautiful views, it is the perfect place to spend some time.

The Mount Vernon Trail is an 18-mile paved multi-use trail that stretches from George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate to Theodore Roosevelt Island. It connects with regional trails, including the Potomac Heritage, Custis, Rock Creek, Four Mile Run, and Woodrow Wilson Bridge Trails.

If you live at Union on Queen, you can use the on-site bicycle storage to keep your bike when you aren’t riding it down the Mount Vernon Trail.

Using the trail is also a great way to explore Virginia’s historical sites. There are many great stops along the way!
