Labor Day Weekend Events Near Union on Queen

Celebrate Labor Day 2017 at one of these events near Union on Queen. From a book festival to a concert, the options are endless for making this holiday weekend one to remember.

Labor Day Concert 2017 

Taking place at the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, the annual Labor Day Concert is a free event featuring the National Symphony Orchestra. They’ll play patriotic tunes during the 90 minute show which begins at 8 p.m. on September 3. This event is a 15 minute drive from Union on Queen.

2017 National Book Festival 

Literary lovers can come out to the National Book Festival on September 2 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m at the Washington Convention Center. The annual event is free and will include author talks, book signings and panel discussions among many other activities. This event is a 16 minute drive from Union on Queen.

Maryland Renaissance Festival 

Drive a little further and make a day trip out of the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Here, you can munch on renaissance grub and dress up like a maiden or lord. Festival passes range in price from $7 to $135. Purchase tickets here. During Labor Day weekend, the festival will be open from September 2-4 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Maryland Renaissance Festival grounds. This event is an hour drive from Union on Queen.

Drink The World Beer Fest 

Drink The World Beer Fest gives you the experience to try both local and international brews from over 30 countries. Come to The Fairgrounds on September 2 to discover new favorite beers and enjoy live entertainment with friends. Two sessions will be held.
